About the Salem Witch Trials

The Salem Witch-Hunt began with accusations filed against Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osburn on February 29, 1692. Over the next 15 months, more than 150 people were accused of witchcraft. 19 innocent women and men were hanged, 1 man was pressed to death with stones for not agreeing to stand trial, and at least 5 people died in jail.
